We understand that bring a young family to the theatre can be quite stressful so we thought we would try and make that first visit a special and easy one. So below we have tried to think of everything you will need to know about bringing a family to the Miners’ to see a performance.
We have some shows in our programme that are aimed specifically at families and young children. You can tell which ones they are on the website by looking at the genre title below the show title.
Family Show Pricing
For most of our family shows we try and help by introducing a concession ticket price or family ticket price.
Toilets/Baby Changing Facilities
We have toilets located on all levels however we do not have baby changing facilities.
Unfortunately we do not allow pushchairs into the auditorium for the performance but you can leave it with the front of house staff and they will store it safely for you.
We sell products that are suitable for children such as Fruit Shoots and other confectionary.
Our current ‘Babes in Arms’ policy will cease from 30/4/16 and will be replaced by our new ‘Lapseat Policy’ from 1/5 /16. This applies to children 0 – 18 months at the time of the performance who will be charged 50% of a child ticket price and applies to one adult and one child. There is limited availability of 20 seats in the Ffwrnes, 30 seats in the Lyric (stalls only) and 7 seats in the Miners (front row only). Children are up to 16 years of age at the time of the show and will be charged child ticket price. Where child concessions do not apply 50% of a full ticket price will be charged. 'Lapseat Policy' applicable only on performances without age restrictions.
