Wynne Evans | Beyond Compare

One of Wales’s most beloved performers, Wynne Evans, brings his hugely popular live show Beyond Compare to his hometown of Carmarthen this autumn.

This intimate evening blends music, song, laughter and heartfelt storytelling, as Wynne invites audiences into his world with warmth, charm and plenty of audience interaction. With his hugely engaging one-man show, no two performances are ever quite the same.

Best known nationwide as the moustached, opera-singing Gio Compario from the iconic Go.Compare adverts, Wynne is also a Celebrity MasterChef winner and appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2024. Beyond television, he is an accomplished classical tenor, having performed with Welsh National Opera and on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Opéra de Lyon and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. He also received critical acclaim for his performance as Piangi in the 25th anniversary concert of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall.

Unique, uplifting and full of personality, Beyond Compare is a joyful evening in exceptional company. Don’t miss this special homecoming performance in the theatre where it all began.
