Hostile Witness
Distinguished barrister Simon Crawford calmly finishes a day in court, returns to his chambers and announces that tthe police will be arriving shortly to arrest him for murder.
Every piece of evidence indicates that he has killed his old friend and neighbour, Mr. Justice Gregory, who has been stabbed to death with Crawford’s fingerprints on the knife.
Moreover, a mysterious letter accused the murder victim of the hit-and-run death of Crawford’s only daughter—a crime Crawford had vowed to avenge.
He is fully aware that nothing can save him except the discovery of the real culprit.
As the noose of trial evidence tightens, Crawford must uncover the truth because he must find the real murderer or be hanged himself.
In a tense and unexpected court scene, Crawford conducts his own defence with surprises coming right up until the final curtain.
