Terms and Conditions of Sale

In purchasing or accepting a ticket to a performance at any of the three Theatrau Sir Gâr venues which include The Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli, The Lyric Theatre in Carmarthen and The Miners’ Theatre in Ammanford, the customer accepts the following terms and conditions of sale:

Theatrau Sir Gar is a facility provided by Carmarthenshire County Council and hereinafter referred to as "Theatrau Sir Gar"

Tickets and Booking

Every member of the audience must have a valid ticket for the date and time that they are attending and be able to produce on demand relevant I.D. to support a concessionary or discounted rate.

It is the booker’s responsibility to ensure that all tickets issued to them are accurate.

It is the booker’s responsibility to ensure that all personal information provided when making a booking is correct.

Theatrau Sir Gâr takes no responsibility for tickets stolen, lost or destroyed.  

No tickets may be re-sold for any reason by any outlet other than the Theatrau Sir Gâr Box Office or one of its authorised ticket agents (unauthorised outlets include websites such as auction sites). Failure to comply will make this ticket void.

Whilst Theatrau Sir Gâr takes responsibility for tickets purchased directly through the Theatrau Sir Gâr Box Office, the Theatrau Sir Gâr website and authorised ticket agencies will not be responsible for tickets that have been sold through unauthorised methods.

Bookers with tickets purchased through an unauthorised vendor will not in any circumstances, receive an exchange or refund from Theatrau Sir Gâr.

Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to place restrictions on the volume of tickets that may be ordered through the Box Office or online.

Theatrau Sir Gâr is GDPR compliant. Theatrau Sir Gâr will collect, use, store and disclose your personal details in accordance with our privacy policy which can be accessed from Theatrau Sir Gâr’s website.  

Price and Payment

The price of the Ticket shall be the price set at the time that your order is accepted. All advertised prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes and ticket booking fees (where applicable) but exclusive of any transaction, collection or delivery fee.

No order will be accepted until Theatrau Sir Gâr have received full payment in cleared funds.

All Concessions and Discounts are subject to availability, they may be restricted to certain price levels and performances and can be withdrawn by Theatrau Sir Gâr without notice

Only one Concession or Discount is available per ticket.

Multibuy

The multibuy offer means if you book 3 or more qualifying shows (those which are advertised with the yellow multibuy logo) you will receive 3 shows for £30, 4 shows for £38 and 5 shows for £45 with the discount being added automatically to your basket.  This offer is valid only on multibuy tickets and is subject to availability.

Tempo

Tempo time credits can be used to purchase tickets for selected qualifying shows which display the Tempo logo. Two Tempo credits per ticket are required. Please see the Tempo website for full details https://www.wearetempo.org/  

Exchanges, Cancellations and Refunds

Tickets are exempt from statutory cancellation rights. This means that you are not entitled to cancel your tickets after purchase.

Tickets cannot be refunded unless a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place.

In the event where a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place, bookers will first be offered the opportunity to exchange tickets for another performance; if there are no alternative tickets Theatrau Sir Gâr will refund to you the face value of the Tickets purchased (excluding any delivery charges).

If you are unable to attend a performance for any reason, a refund will not be available. We are able to offer you the option to exchange your tickets to another performance, or offer credit to the value of your tickets. There is a £1 admin fee per ticket to process both of these options.

The box office must be notified by 2pm (10:30am for matinees) on the day of the performance if you are not attending and wish to request credit or exchange in place for your tickets. Requests made after this time will be refused.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any change of address or contact details at time of booking.  Refunds will only be paid to the person who purchased the tickets and where possible the original method of payment.  

TicketPlan Refund Protection is available for your booking.  We strongly recommend that you include this option.  Your tickets are non-refundable and this will protect you against cancellation resulting from accidents and unexpected illnesses.  Full details are included in the TicketPlan Terms and Conditions, which we advise you to read and retain.

Theatrau Sir Gâr may agree to resell unused tickets previously purchased directly from the theatre, on behalf of the booker, if the production has reached capacity. If your Tickets are successfully resold Theatrau Sir Gâr will refund to you via credit voucher the face value of the Tickets purchased (excluding any delivery charges), minus an administration fee per ticket. Theatrau Sir Gâr will sell all of its own tickets before it will offer returned Tickets for resale and cannot guarantee the successful resale of any returned Tickets. It is the booker’s responsibility to check with the Box Office if their ticket has been resold.

Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to cancel a performance at short notice due to cast illness. For this reason, please ensure the Box Office has your correct contact details.

No travel costs or other expenses incurred as part of your visit to Theatrau Sir Gâr will be refunded.

Tickets bought from third party agents must be refunded at the original point of purchase. It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled or rescheduled. 

Competitions

Tickets received as competition prizes are non-transferrable. No alternative performances or productions will be offered. No cash alternative will be offered. Prizes are to be used by the competition winner and will be available to collect at Box Office on the day of the event unless otherwise stated.  Competitions run by external companies may have additional T&Cs.

Gift Vouchers

Vouchers can be redeemed as full or part payment for tickets to shows at Theatrau Sir Gâr. If the full value of the voucher is not used in one transaction, credit for the remaining amount will remain valid until the expiration date of the voucher.

No cash or voucher alternative will be offered. Vouchers must be redeemed by the expiry date, which is two years from the date of purchase.

Please note vouchers cannot be redeemed at Theatrau Sir Gâr bars and cafes.

Discounts

Discounts are only available on full price tickets.

All discounts are offered subject to availability and may be withdrawn at the decision of management without prior notice and may be restricted to specific performances and price levels. 

No refunds will be offered on pre-booked tickets on announcement of subsequent special offers. 

All special offers are subject to availability and only one discount applies.  Management reserve the right to withdraw or change the terms of any offers without notice. 

Waiting list

A waiting list system is now operational for sold out events.  Please provide name, contact details and the quantity of tickets required and you will be informed if tickets become available, there is no obligation to purchase at this point.  Submissions to the waiting list do not guarantee tickets will become available. 

Reservations

Reservations can be made for one calendar month, irrespective party size. If the payment is not made by the end of the reservation period, tickets will be re-released onto general sale.

Restricted View

If you purchase a ticket which has a restricted view, you will be informed of the restriction at time of booking.  If a restriction occurs due to the specific performance / staging we will attempt to notify customers and endeavour to re-seat if possible.

Your Visit

Latecomers (i.e. those attempting to enter the auditorium after the scheduled start time of the performance) may be asked to wait outside until an appropriate moment in the performance to admit them to the auditorium. If there is no appropriate moment or admittance will cause disruption latecomers may be refused admission. No refund or exchange will be offered.

Latecomers admitted entry are not guaranteed access to their purchased seat and may be asked to sit in an alternative seat to avoid disruption.

Audience members who leave the auditorium once the performance has started may be asked to wait outside until an appropriate moment in the performance to re-admit them. If there is no appropriate moment or admittance will cause disruption re-admittance may be refused. No refund or exchange will be offered.

Mobile phones, pagers and watch alarms must be switched off before entering the auditorium. The use of mobile phones and pagers, even when silenced, can be distracting to other audience members and the performers on stage.

Filming, photography or audio during a performance is strictly prohibited unless the audience is expressly invited to do so by the artist, or written permission has been granted by the Marketing Department at Theatrau Sir Gâr. Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to delete or destroy any such recorded material made without permission.

Theatrau Sir Gâr may carry out general filming, sound recording or photography in or around the venue. By purchasing tickets or visiting the bar you and your party are consenting to being filmed, recorded or photographed.

When making a booking the booker accepts our terms and conditions on behalf of all members of their party.

Children under the age of 18 months must purchase a lap-seat ticket, which is included in the price of a standard ticket, and is subject to availability. Children over the age of 18months must purchase a valid ticket for the production.

Hynt cardholders are entitled to a ticket free of charge for their personal assistant or carer when attending performances at any of our theatres. Please see the Hynt website for full T&Cs. https://www.hynt.co.uk/en/join/terms-and-conditions/

Theatrau Sir Gâr has limited cloakroom facilities at Ffwrnes and Lyric but no storage facilities for bicycles, pushchairs or luggage.

Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to:

  • Make any alterations to the advertised programme or casting rendered necessary by unavoidable causes.
  • Request any ticket holder to leave the Theatre and take appropriate action to enforce this right.
  • Refuse admission or eject from the venue any person that it believes is likely to cause a nuisance, disturbance or threat to other audience members, the venue or its employees.
  • Refuse admission to anyone whose tickets have been purchased through an unauthorised agency or third party.
  • Change venues for events or performances and to alter seating arrangements from reserved seating to unreserved without notifying the customer.
  • In the event of an individual being refused admission or ejected for any reason, no refund or exchange will be offered.

Health and Safety

Abusive, anti-social or threatening behaviour of any kind towards another member of the audience or staff will result in immediate removal from the premises and may end in legal action.

Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to conduct bag searches for security purposes.

Glasses, bottles, cameras and recording equipment are not allowed in the auditorium. Drinks may be carried in plastic cups provided.

Only alcoholic drinks purchased in the theatre bar are permitted in the auditorium. Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to refuse entry to any member of the audience in possession of or consuming alcoholic drinks not purchased in the theatre’s bar. Theatrau Sir Gâr reserves the right to refuse any sale of alcohol.

Hot food is not permitted in the auditorium. Only food and drink purchased from the theatre bar or café may be taken into the auditorium. Please remember any food/sweets in noisy wrappers may disturb the performers and other members of the audience.

When purchasing tickets for a show or event which offers food or drink as part of the package, please advise the Box Office of any allergies at the point of booking.

Strobe lighting, gunshots and smoke effects are sometimes used in productions; details are available from the Box Office after the first performance.

All personal belongings are the owner's responsibility whilst on the premises.

Management reserve the right to conduct security searches and confiscate any prohibited items or items which may be considered to cause danger or disruption to the event or other audience members.

All venues have a no smoking policy in accordance with the law.  This includes electronic cigarettes

Ticket holders consent to being shown as members of the audience in any official filming, photography and sound recording i.e. if a performance is to be televised at a later date.

At seated events, it is requested that customers remain seated throughout the performance to allow all customers a clear view of the stage and artists performing.  Please be aware where this request is contravened and results in customer complaints whose experience of the show is subsequently affected, venue team on duty will ask you to sit down or may relocate you to another location in the auditorium.  Refunds or compensation will not be offered in any of these circumstances.
