Theatre Skills: Improv for young people with Frankie Williams
Come join our free taster in improvisation skills with professional actress, comedian and theatre maker Frankie Williams and award-winning facilitator Jo Shackley.
The session will share and explore a range of creative and fun improvisation exercises – helping you think on your feet.
Improvisation can help support a career in acting, theatre making, stand-up comedy, writing, help with auditions and so much more. Improvisation can help with confidence, teamwork, build a connection with others and living in the moment.
There is no experience necessary. Just come in comfy clothes you can move in and come and have a go.

Frankie Williams is an actor, writer and stand-up comedian. As an improviser, she has trained with The Second City, Hoopla Improv, London Improv Theatre and Mischief Theatre.
Frankie uses improvisation techniques in her work as a writer and performer as well as in her everyday life, whenever required to think on her feet!
Frankie champions the transformative power of improv as a tool for creativity, adaptability and overall wellbeing.
As well as her work as a performer, she regularly works in schools across the UK, coaching young people on communication and public speaking skills.
Her debut stage show ‘I Need A Hero (Not About Bonnie Tyler)’, a comedy-musical will be going into production in 2027, produced by Grand Ambition.
